Founded in 1932, this Institution houses one of the nation's largest collections of invertebrate fossils and living shells and a large research library. They also publishe scholarly books and journals on paleontology. Hours are 9 am to 5 pm, Mon. thru Fri.

Photography Gallery, Roy H. Park School of Comm, Danby Road, Ithaca College
Sponsored by the Dept of Cinema and Photography and the Roy H. Park School of Communications, this gallery features the work of photographers living in other areas of the U.S.
Open during the summer 9 am - 5 pm., Mon. - Fri.; during semesters open 8:30 am to 11 pm., Mon.-Thurs., 9 am - 5 pm Fri. and Sat. and 1 pm to 11 pm Sunday.

A hands-on science museum and outdoor science park for people of all ages to experience the excitement of scientific discovery. Visit the interactive computer exhibits, the amazing audio kinetic sculpture, and much much more. Showtime is every Saturday at 2 pm, with activities and talks ranging from recycling to snakes. Hours are Tue.-Sat. 10 am to 5 pm, Sun. Noon to 5 pm. Open Monday national holidays only. Closed New Year's, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Spencer Historical Society Museum, Center Street, Spencer, New York
The Spencer Historical Society, which supports a Museum that contains a permanent collection of objects, photographs, documents and genealogy materials, was formed to encourage the discovery, preservation and dissemination of knowledge about the history of Spencer. Exhibits change with each new season. Open Memorial Day - Labor Day, holidays and Sundays from 2 to 5 pm. Closes after Labor Day.

Specializes in classic fine arts and traditional decorative arts of all the peoples of Asia - with special emphasis on the arts of China, India, Japan and Korea. They have eight exhibition rooms that feature free seasonal exhibits on all aspects of Oriental art.

1890 House-Museum and Center for Victorian Art ,
37 Tompkins Street, Cortland, New York.
This grand mansion was built by successful wire manufacturer Chester F. Wickwireat, at the height of the "Gilded Age" . This 30-room mansion features parquet floors, jewel-like stained glass windows, ornate decorative stenciling, and oak and cherry woodwork. The castle is the highlight of Cortland's Historic District and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Visit the 4-room orientation center, the towers and turrets, the nooks and crannies, the landscaped lawns and the two-story carriage barn of this structure. Six to eight shows, composed of contemporary art, are presented each year, including annual faculty and senior student exhibitions. Their permanent collection includes Twentieth-century graphic art, photographs, African and pre-Columbian arts.

Owned and operated by over 25 local crafts people, its members are skilled crafts people producing quality pottery, jewelry, glass, clothing, furniture and more. John Hartell Gallery , Sibley Dome, Cornell University, Ithaca, New York
This facility was named for Cornell artist, architect, and educator John Hartell. They feature works of various media with the intent of providing a learning resource for the faculty, students, and staff of Cornell University and the greater Ithaca community, primarily showing student and faculty works, but often displaying exhibits of visiting artists and traveling shows.

Hinkley Museum , 410 East Seneca Street, Ithaca, New York
Collections and exhibitions at the museum focus on the 18th and 19th century regional, domestic, decorative and folk arts. This estate dedicated by Henry N. Hinckley features his personal collections of items from this period. There are two changing exhibits per year accompanied by special programs. The museum is open Saturday 10 am to 4 pm and by appointment. Closed January and February.
